El eminente pedagogo, entre sus múltiples condecoraciones ostenta ocho sellos Forjadores del Futuro, la Orden Lázaro Peña en Segundo Grado, Premio Científico del COI, y recientemente fue exaltado al salón de la Fama Latinoamericano de Levantamiento de Pesas.
